                       Success Story

Daymond John

Damon John is an American entrepreneur, investor, television personality, and motivational speaker. He is best known as the founder and CEO of FUBU, a clothing brand that he started with his friends in the 1990s.

Damon John was born on February 23, 1969, in Brooklyn, New York, and was raised by his mother and grandfather in Queens. His mother worked long hours as a nurse to support the family, and John started working at the age of ten to help out.

As a teenager, John had a passion for hip-hop music and fashion, and he started selling home-sewn hats on the streets of Queens. He eventually teamed up with his friends J. Alexander Martin, Keith Perrin, and Carlton Brown to start FUBU (which stands for "For Us, By Us") in 1992.

At first, the group struggled to get their clothing line off the ground, but they eventually caught a big break when LL Cool J wore one of their hats in a Gap commercial. This led to more exposure and sales, and FUBU quickly became a popular brand in the hip-hop community.

Damon John continued to grow FUBU into a multi-million dollar business, expanding into new product lines and international markets. He also became a well-known television personality, appearing as a judge on the hit show "Shark Tank" and hosting his own series, "The Damon John Show."

One of his most famous quotes is:

Life is 20% what happens to you and 80% how you react to it.

- Daymond John

This quote emphasizes the importance of attitude and mindset in overcoming challenges and achieving success in life. John believes that while we cannot always control what happens to us, we can control our response to those events, and that positive thinking and a can-do attitude are essential for success in business and in life.
